Inside the Nonprofit is designed for anyone who has never taken a course or had training in nonprofit organizations, organizational behavior, leadership and management. However, everyone is welcome.
Taught by Barry Rosenberg, MSW, Professor of Practice at the Brown School, we will examine how and why nonprofits work the way they do; best practices in leadership and management; and how to get the most out of your work experience. Among topics covered: working with your supervisor, understanding organizational culture, the role of the Board, finance and fundraising, building effective teams and surviving office politics.
Inside the Nonprofit will help you better understand your organization, play a larger leadership role and prepare for career advancement.
