Spring is Missouri Public Health Institute’s CEO and President, working diligently to implement the organization’s 2022-2025 Strategic Plan. Spring holds a dual appointment as the Director of the Office of Public Health Practice at the Saint Louis University College for Public Health and Social Justice. This dual role allows Spring to advocate for the practice of Missouri public health to new generations of students as well as faculty, staff, and new partners.

She works closely with critical partners and stakeholders to transform Missouri’s public health system and improve public health service delivery. Spring often represents MOPHI and the public health lens in statewide committees, taskforces, and other efforts to improve outcomes in Missouri. Spring is located in St. Louis and spends her time with her family (including her two rescue dogs Frank and Precious) cooking, baking, and painting.

Community Engagement Statement

Community engagement is the heart of why we do research, why we create programs, why and how we understand the world. If we intend to see real change, then it is morally and practically imperative that we engage with the communities to understand, reflect, and collaborate on the plan.
